Please help me get the word out!
I need your help in publicizing the reunion. The more people that hear about this, the greater the attendance will be.If everyone pitches in just a bit, we can really make this reunion a success!
I have created the press release but I need your help in getting it out to the newspapers.
- Please follow these steps to publish the press release in your local paper:
- Perform a Google search to find the website of a major newspaper in your vicinity
- Go to the website and look for their "Contact Us" link
- Find the appropriate place to submit a press release (eg. NewsRoom)
- Submit this press release either by email or US mail.
- If you can, please submit this Press Release to several newspapers
Feel free to edit this press release - and if you do, please email me a copy so I can improve this one.
Keep in mind that there are specific formats to follow when submitting a press release so please don't deviate from the format.

USS Dwight D. Esienhower to hold first ever Reunion
The US NAVY aircraft carrier Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN69) is slated to hold her first ever reunion June 19-22, 2008 in Branson, MO. All ships company, Marine Detachment, and Air Wing as well as companions are welcome to attend this 3-day event. A combination of live entertainment, tours, and formal meetings will occupy the majority of the time, however there will be ample time for informal get-togethers. USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69), nicknamed "Ike" is named in honor of America's 34th President, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) was commissioned on October 18, 1977. Stretching 1,092 feet in total length and displacing over 95,000 tons, the Dwight D. Eisenhower is one of the largest warships in the world. Since her commission, the Dwight D.
